TradeMark, Patent Law, and Hague Treaties Get U.S. Senate Approval
According to IPO Daily News on December 20, 2007,
the U.S. Senate gave its advice and consent to ratification of three treaties protecting intellectual property rights: the Singapore Treaty on Trademarks (signed by the U.S. on March 28, 2006), the Patent Law Treaty (PLT) and Regulations (signed by the U.S. on June 1, 2000) and the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the Registration of Industrial Designs (signed by the U.S. on July 6, 1999).The report did not state whether those treaties will require implementing legislation
