IP Cost Management at the AIPLA Mid-Winter Institute
Domenic Leo, DataCert's vice president of intellectual property business development, will lead a panel discussion centered on corporate intellectual property (IP) cost management at the American Intellectual Property Law Association's (AIPLA) annual Mid-Winter Institute. AIPLA's Mid-Winter Institute will be held in New Orleans on January 24-27, 2007.
The session, entitled "Corporate IP Cost Management," will present an educational discussion on both high-level and hands-on approaches to controlling corporate IP spend. Panelists will discuss how to capture and analyze legal spend, how to project portfolio costs, the latest IP billing standards and global filing strategies. Speaking at the session will be Robert Silverman of Concert Pharmaceuticals, William Heinze of Thomas, Kayden, Horstemeyer & Risley, LLP, Tim Guffey of Procter & Gamble and T. David Reed of TDR Patents.
The session, scheduled for Thursday, January 25 at 4 p.m. CT, will commence with opening remarks from Aaron A. Weiss, AIPLA's chair of licensing and management of IP assets committee.
