Weekly Updates to USPTO Trademark ID Manual

Any interested party can now request that an identification be added to the Trademark Acceptable Identification of Goods and Services Manual ("Goods ID Manual") by e-mailing the suggestion to TMIDSuggest@uspto.gov. As of July 27, 2006, updates to the ID Manual are now being made on a weekly basis, with any new entry appearing after approximately 12:30 a.m. on Thursdays. Because appearance of an identification within the Goods ID Manual is a requirement for using the lower fee, "TEAS Plus" version of the initial application form, everyone is encouraged to submit proposals.
