President's Day, is celebrated in the U.S. every third Monday in February. This year, the federal holiday fell on February 20. According to Mary Bellis at About.com, Abraham Lincoln is the only U.S. President to hold a patent. U.S. Patent No. 6,469 for "A Device for Buoying Vessels Over Shoals" was awarded to Abe on May 22, 1849.

Thank Goodness It's Friday (and I'm at the LES 2006 Winter Meeting in Pasadena, California),
