Brunei Seeks Exchange of IP Expertise
According to a January 28, 2005 article from BruneiDirect.com, "Brunei has sought assistance from the United States in understanding and implementing the Intellectual Property Rights Protection (IPRP), which is crucial in attracting foreign direct investment. The Sultanate is also looking up to the US in capacity-building towards implementing the Container Security Initiative (CSI), which makes it mandatory for containers to undergo screening before entering US markets. On the Intellectual Property Rights Protection, the exchange of expertise in this area was proposed as Brunei is still a new player in this area as compared to the US."
