PatGen for Retrieving Biological Sequences

PatentInformatics, a service providing genetic patent information, has reportedly made available on its website the PatGen database containing genetic patent sequences. The database includes a search engine that queries patent documents in order to retrieve biological sequences. Its features permit a rapid research through genetic patent information, and users might find it useful either in order to avoid the duplication of research efforts in the sector, or to simply get information on genetic patent sequences. The PatentInformatics website contains other useful services and a list of biotechnology patents issued each month by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
