New GI Registrations in Europe

According to the August 16, 2004 issue of MIP Week, seven names have been added to the list of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications in the EU, including Valencay cheese (from France), Scottish Farmed Salmon (from the UK), Ternera de Extremedura (veal from Spain), and Aceite mallorquin, Oli de Mallorca, and Oli mallorqui cooking oil (from Spain).
