Happy "International Day of the World's Indigenous People"

According to a press release from the World Intellectual property Association on the occasion of the International Day of the World's Indigenous People on August 9, 2004, "WIPO’s current work [in this area] is aimed at developing a shared understanding of how best to develop and apply the principles of the intellectual property system to serve the interests articulated by holders of traditional knowkedge and custodians of traditional cultural expressions."
