EU Software Patentability Directive Vote Delayed Until October

According to European Patent Attorney Axel H. Horns, "the formal voting on the Common Position of the EU Council concerning the Draft Directive on the patentability of computer-implemented inventions that was politically agreed to on May 18, 2004 will be further delayed due to scarcity of translator capacity until October or November this year."
