USPTO Filed/Granted Patent Spread Continues to Grow

The Intellectual property Owners Association has posted an updated graph showing that patent applications filed in the USPTO in 2005 rose by 8 percent while patents granted by the USPTO fell by 11 percent. The filed/granted spread now appears to be up to about 225,000 filings.
