USTR Requests Comments on Foreign Trade Barriers Including Lack of I/P Protection

On Novemmber 24, 2004, the Trade Policy Staff Committee (TPSC) of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative requested "interested parties to assist it in identifying significant barriers to U.S. exports of goods, services and overseas direct investment for inclusion in the National Trade Estimate Report on Foreign Trade Barriers (NTE)." They are particularly interested in "impediments materially affecting the actual and potential financial performance of an industry sector," including lack of intellectual property protection. Public comments are due not later than Tuesday, December 21, 2004.
