IPO Endorses Some (but not all) FTC Recommendations
On July 8, 2004, the Intellectual Property Owners Association announced that it is supporting "in principle" the recommendations on (a) post-grant patent opposition proceedings, (b) adequate USPTO funding, (c) the USPTO strategic plan, (d) 18-month publication of all patent applications, (e) expansion of prior user rights, and (f) changes in notice required for willfulness determinations in patent suits. IPO does not support the remaining recommendations.
