EU Business: Japan, EU Statement on I/P Cooperation

Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi met Tuesday evening with visiting European Commission chief Romano Prodi and Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern, whose country currently holds the bloc's rotating presidency. The two sides have decided to closely monitor Asian countries' progress in the fight against counterfeiting and piracy, and exchange information on technical cooperation projects.
